This dark-stained Victorian wicker, rattan, and bamboo cradle possess intricate patterns that give it an almost Gothic quality. An array of symmetrical reed arches and seamless striping crisscrossing designs are worked into the entire piece. The crib includes a detachable wicker crown that holds mosquito netting to be draped over the cradle as a canopy to protect the baby from insect bites. The swinging cradle is held by two brass joints and sits on a four-legged base.
