This late 19th, early 20th Century Edwardian Style, Crotch Mahogany woman’s drop front desk is so beautifully unique and perfectly petite to fit in so many compact room-scapes! The figuration of the crotch mahogany is stunning, drawing attention to itself the minute light hits the surface. Then, there’s the marquetry inlay with ribbons, equally as delicate with drops of mother of pearl, gadroon trim, single drawer, 8 internal cubbyholes, two document slots behind the front door, and triple front drawers with triple string inlay. All these details add up to the most uniquely sophisticated desk.

Condition:GoodRepaired: Very minor repairs were made at some point in the piece’s history to veneer. Wear consistent with age and use. The desk has areas of wear consistent with a piece of this age and nature. There are small areas where the veneer has been replaced as well as missing/replaced string inlay and some surface wear. Overall though, this is a gorgeous desk.
