this would be fantastic as a shop display either against a wall or in the centre of the shop floor.
This is the only set that I have ever come across, super unusual.
These were called Gravity Lightweight Staging and were made by Randall Ltd and ladders were made by Eclips.
This was a lightweight staging, used to elevate a person to the right level to cut hedges / trees / garden plants. Very large (6.5 M or 260 inch), shelf can be positioned at a variety of heights, ladders can be on the outside of the shelf or closer together. It’s very strong, originally to hold 3 men and a total weight of 600lbs! It has 1 very small repair which is shown on a photo.
We were informed that this came from Windsor Castle but this was not confirmed with any paper work, a possible Royal connection……
