Burr Walnut Bedside Table by Waring & Gillow

Waring & Gillow Lancaster, Burr Walnut inlaid large bed side table which is part of a large suite This piece is part of a bedroom set, I have in total a triple bank wardrobe, dressing table with trifold mirrors and chair, large bedside table and lastly the chest of drawers, this sale is for the piece mentioned above only, the others are listed under my other items This is as mentioned, the finest quality I have ever seen for this type of furniture, it truly is a master class of craftsmanship, when describing it, I honestly don’t know where to begin, it’s made in quarter cut Walnut with a large ornate Burr Walnut panels to the top and drawers, the inlay to the middle drawer is in the form of curtain tassels. The legs are ornately carved and have silver gilt details, above is a band of marquetry inlay which goes from one side to the other and its all of flowers. The mirrors are tri folding and they have cobalt blue accents like the top middle piece which has been etched with a flower and the screw covers for the mirror plates The piece has the original Gillow of Lancaster metal plaque inside one of the drawers, the locks are all stamped Waring & Gillows LTD Lancaster. This piece is one of a kind, I don’t imagine I will ever see another suite where it has been commissioned with absolute no expense spared, this is museum quality at its finest which is to say Gillow were basically showing off Condition wise we have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, I can’t see anything negative to note, it Dimensions Height:- 76cm Width:- 62cm Depth:- 37cm
