Adorned with finals and classical motif in the boxwood inlay featuring urns, garlands and swags lend this piece the Greco overtones favored at the turn of the century.
The rosewood displays beautifully with highly desirable grain detail in the counter top particularly; rich, warm tones glow in the sinuous graining beneath a highly polished finish.
Raised on turned front legs united with the side stiles by the lower tier, the cabinet offers a central cupboard with field panel doors inlaid with urn motif. Flanking the cupboard, concave shelving beneath a frieze decorated with inlaid swags around a central drawer dressed with brass pulls.
The shaped counter top features a molded edge detail with the rear mirror back rising with tiered shelving supported by turned columns capped with finials. A pair of square mirrors over decorated panels sit behind the shelving and either side of the main central, bevel edged, mirror plate.
Above the mirrors, a bracketed upper shelf sits centrally with gallery back rising into a typical ‘broken’ pediment around central turned finial.
A fine example, solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
