Vintage Design
Vintage space age ”Mix Chair” by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Molteni. Chunky and quirky 70s design. It’s heavy, very comfortable and the black leather is in excellent condition. Tobia and Afra Scarpa designed a family of so called ”Mix Chairs” for executive offices and conference rooms.
This iconic design fits well in an eclectic interior. Has minimal wear consistent with age and use. It swivels and rolls well. As it is a conference chair, it is not adjustable in height. The seat height is 47 cm.
Background information
”Mix is a family of easy chairs for executive offices, workspaces, conference rooms and waiting areas. It features a revolutionary system for connecting the body of the seat and the supportive frame. Two pieces in die-cast aluminium alloy are joined using a metal plate, which has also been die cast. The outcome is a gondola-style element that hooks onto the sides of the seat.”
