Outstanding quality antique Edwardian mahogany sideboard having a quality mahogany gallery back above a shaped mahogany top with a reeded edge above a figured mahogany moulded door flanked by two bow fronted moulded sides with original brass lions head handle opening to reveal a storage compartment and flanked by two figured mahogany frieze drawers with a moulded edge and original brass lions head handles above two cupboard doors with oval figured mahogany panels with original brass lions head handles opening to reveal a fitted interior consisting of sliding trays and a cellarette, two turned tapering legs to the centre and raised on shaped bracket feet.
This fabulous showcase piece boasts a stunning colour and is in beautiful original condition. The quality of the craftsmanship is evident throughout. In 1899 Goodalls the firm amalgamated with James Lamb, another prestigious Manchester cabinet maker and a wallpaper manufacturer named Heighway, of 53 Oxford Street, Northenden and Sale, to become Goodall, Lamb and Heighway.
