This piece of furniture has an upper drawer on the front, the perimeter of which is embellished with a small ogee moulding. The pull is done by two drooping handles with brass rosettes. Below, the seat consisting of a mitred band is in turn molded in ogee in its interior.
This secretary also opens, in the lower part, with three identical drawers whose fronts have the same composition. All these elements are fitted with functional original locks with applied net entries and rear keys.
The flap, open, is held by iron and brass compasses.
It is dressed in a redone green leather with central motif, cold stamp and gold.
The interior has a large central drawer as well as three drawers on each side. Their fronts are thick mahogany veneer over oak.
Above, a shelf on cleats adds two additional storage spaces.
The gadrooned uprights are semi-column adjoining at the front and straight at the rear.
This piece of furniture rests on four spindle-shaped legs ending in brass ball clogs.
The sides are composed of two panels, slightly set back, namely a small one at the top and a large one at the bottom.
The gray and white Sainte-Anne marble top, with a projection, follows the shape of the piece of furniture.
The back, bottom and interiors are in oak.
Graceful and refined, this 18th century secretaire will delight you with the finesse of its lines.
