This corner unit, crafted from mahogany and gilt bronze, functions as a cabinet and a tiered shelf. The cabinet, quarter-circle shaped in profile, is supported by paw feet and features, to the front, twin curvilinear doors. The doors, which open to a single shelf, feature gilt bronze trellises backed by drapery. Above the cabinet unit are two shelves, the shelves supported by three gilt bronze columns, the columns terminating in gilt bronze pinecone finials. Each of the shelves is bordered on the two straight sides by a pierced gilt bronze gallery.
