An Edwardian-style deckchair for a yacht in mahogany and brass with buttoned upholstery. The chair was one of several made in France for the Paris decorator, furniture designer, and antiques dealer Jean-Pierre Hagnauer, who sold a pair to Arturo Lopez-Willshaw for his yacht the Gaviota IV. The model was based on an antique pair he sold to the French film star Jean Marais, companion of Jean Cocteau, for the terrace of his country house.
