This fine antique sterling silver photograph frame has a rounded, subtly waisted shaped form with an oval internal window.
The plain body of this Edwardian frame is encompassed with a paralleling embossed border accented with scrolling leaf and floral motif ornamentation to the upper portion.
The rim of the internal window is embellished with a further plain embossed border.
This frame retains the original oak wood back and hinged strut, securing with a swivel catch.
This fine Edwardian piece is inset with a removable glass panel.
This impressive photograph frame was crafted by the Birmingham silversmiths Harry Synyer & Charles Joseph Beddoes of Synyer & Beddoes.
Condition
This antique Edwardian frame is a very good gauge of silver and excellent quality. The silver frame and oak wood back are in excellent presentation condition. There are some minor pin holes to the embossed decoration, this does not detract from the aesthetically pleasing appearance of the piece.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the frame are very clear, in keeping with age and location.
